Our Mission

At GEO Next Generation High School, we strive to nurture the future our scholars want to have by exhibiting grit, honor, and strength. Our students attend college while in high school. Resources provided to students include: FREE College Courses Certified Teachers, Small Classes, Individualized Attention, and Strong Core Academic Knowledge. In GEO’s College Immersion Program, students are able to take free college courses on a college campus for college credits, while simultaneously earning a high school diploma. GEO Next Generation High School is a part of a network of high quality charter schools managed by GEO Academies. It joins GEO Prep Academy and GEO Prep Mid-City, both K-8 schools, and demonstrates GEO’s commitment to delivering a high quality K-12 learning experience to parents and students in the Baton Rouge community.

About Us

At GEO Next Generation High School, all roads lead to college – and beyond. We are a free public charter high school committed to ensuring that all students show growth in character, academics, life skills, the arts, and wellness, using teaching skills tailored to meet the needs of each student. Our curriculum and our teaching methods are designed to let your child excel as fast as their ability allows. This kind of competency-based approach lets kids of higher ability progress past students their same age. It also permits students to regroup, master material not mastered at a more restrictive school, then, with new-found confidence, race toward their academic potential. Traditional public schools, parochial schools and other tuition-based private schools serve many children very well, but GEO Next Generation High School is here to provide a choice.  We offer a new way to excel.
