Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy informs you of the policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal data when you use the EnrollBR system to sign up for EnrollBR’s newsletter, create an account, establish a Family Profile, complete an application, submit an application, choose a participating school and/or submit registration (collectively, “Services”).  The Privacy Policy also informs you of the choices you have associated with your data and your minor child(ren)’s data.   If you use the EnrollBR system, you consent to our processing your data and your minor child(ren)’s data as set forth in this Privacy Policy, now and as amended by us. 

What Data We Collect

If you create an account on the EnrollBR platform, we will collect your email address and password.  If you complete a “Family Profile,” we will collect your first and last name, email address, primary and work phone numbers, preferred method of communication, and physical and mailing addresses. If you add a student to your Family Profile, we will collect the student’s first and last name, gender and date of birth.  

When you complete an application for a student, we collect the student’s first and last name, date of birth, age, gender, primary home language, current school information, grade, address if different from the address listed on the Family Profile, parent’s or guardian’s first and last name and phone number(s) and information on siblings including whether the student is a twin or multiple, and first and last name, grade and date of birth of siblings.

If you register a student using the EnrollBR platform, we collect the following additional information on you and your minor child(ren) as part of the registration process: the student’s race, national origin, home and native language, IEP status and information related to transportation status,  parent or guardian first and last name, relationship to the student and email address.  We also collect the student’s birth certificate, immunization records, proofs of residency and a parent or guardian’s driver’s license or photo identification.  

We utilize Google Analytics which uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to track and store data.  Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier.  Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device.  Other tracking technologies are also used such as beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze the Services.  You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. 

How Data We Collect is Used 

Data we collect about you and your minor child(ren) may be used for the following purposes: 

• to provide the Services;

• to administer your account;

• to provide, improve and create additional Services;  

• to detect and defend against fraud and other threats to the Services and our users;  

• to identify issues with the Services; and 

• to conduct research and measurement activities. 


Sharing Data With Third Parties

We only share the data we collect on you and your minor child(ren) as set forth in this Privacy Policy. We will share your data and your minor child(ren)’s data submitted as part of the application with those participating schools that you have selected to receive your child(ren)’s application.  We will share your data and your minor child(ren)’s data submitted as part of the registration with the Baton Rouge public charter school that you select for registration.  We share your data and your minor child(ren)’s data with our partners, New Schools for Baton Rouge and Acumen Solutions to help provide, improve and create additional Services and conduct research and measurement activities.  


Compliance With Law, Regulation, And Law Enforcement Requests

To cooperate with government and law enforcement officials and to enforce and comply with law, we may release your data and/or your minor child(ren)’s data to third parties: (1) to comply with legal requirements such as a law, regulation, search warrant, subpoena or court order; or (2) when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.


How Your Data Is Secured And Retained

We take reasonable security measures to protect the confidentiality, security and integrity of your data.  When you enter personal information, we encrypt the transmission and storage of that information or use TLS connections technology.  

We will retain your data as long as it is needed to provide the Services.  We will also retain your data as necessary to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.  At any time, you can instruct us to remove your data by contacting us at the contact information below.  

If you do not want your data used, maintained or disclosed as set forth in this Privacy Policy, you should not use the EnrollBR website or the EnrollBR platform.  


Changes To This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is subject to occasional revision; if we make any material changes in the way we collect, use or disclose data, we will update this Privacy Policy on the EnrollBR website.   Continued use of the EnrollBR system following the posting of a revised version will indicate your acknowledgement of such changes and agreement to be bound by the changes to this Privacy Policy.
