With a focus on civic engagement and social justice, DPBR cultivates a sense of awareness of the world in which we live. Our school community is supported with best practices in instruction, rigorous Tier I curriculum, targeted social-emotional learning supports and selection of co-curricular activities to ensure we are meeting the needs of all scholars.

Behavioral Approach
Democracy Prep Baton Rouge believes in approaching discipline through the lenses of Purpose Over Power and Anti-Racism. We utilize a Tiered Behavior System that prioritizes relationship building and the use of proactive strategies as a means of maximizing scholars’ time in class. Through clear and purposeful expectations, Behavior Intervention Plans, Family Conferences, and scholar incentives, we aim to create a culture of high support and high expectations.
